Daily Life in the Lab
8:30 – Morning Prep
Each day starts with setting up shared equipment like vacuum pumps and dehydrated solvents. This is done on a rotation basis.
9:00 – Let’s Get to Work!
Research officially starts at 9:00 sharp—punctuality matters. It’s a good idea to kick off your reactions in the morning to make the most of your day.
11:30 – Lunchtime
Time to take a break and grab lunch. Everyone goes at their own pace, avoiding the lunch rush at the cafeteria.
13:00 – Back to Research
Afternoons are dedicated to experiments, measurements, and literature reviews. It’s a time to really focus and make progress.
19:00 – Wrapping Up
The lab winds down around this time. Before heading home, make sure to clean up, organize your lab notebook, and plan your next steps.
After Hours – Recharge Time
Whether it’s exercising, pursuing hobbies, gaming, studying, or just getting a good night’s sleep—take time for yourself and recharge for tomorrow!
